Wes Welker and Jerod Mayo in New Old Spice Ads, Lizards, Snow Globe, Absent, Coach

Old Spice is the official deodorant and body wash of the NFL, which means that Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker will be using it on himself during halftime, after a particularly inspired performance during the first half of a football game. But this is Old Spice and Wieden & Kennedy Portland, which means that the ad won't end with just a shot of a superstar football player enjoying his shower after a grueling workout.

The brand continues its "Unnecessary Freshness" campaign with a new crop of ads that are all NFL themed, featuring the same classic jingle format that the brand's Bar Soap advertising introduced earlier this year. The campaign will start off with "Snow Globe" during the NFL opener on Thursday, where new Old Spice Guy Welker will be making his on-field Broncos debut. The brand is also rolling out three other spots, "Coach," "Lizards," and perhaps the best one of the lot, the afore-mentioned "Absent," where Welker emerges fresh from his halftime shower to find that he's been in there a lot longer than planned. It's a commercial for fruit, nope I was wrong it's a commercial for the new Old Spice Fiji Bar Soap that just happened to be buried in basketball, that is actually a watermelon that you plunge you're hand into to pull out that bar of soap. While the fabled isle of Fiji may or may not actually exist, new Fiji Bar Soap from Old Spice definitely does exist, probably at a grocery store or a sports area or somewhere else.

C.J. Wilson & Josh Hamilton Star In New Commercial for Head & Shoulders With Old Spice

Head & Shoulders Dandruff Shampoo with Old Spice launches the “Season of the Whiff” ad campaign with two new commercials featuring Anaheim Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson and his teammate Josh Hamilton. The "Catch" and "Microphone" ads were set in Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park where the Angels meet with the Reds in the first inter-league opening day matchup.


“They're funnier and more surreal than last year's Joe Mauer work, more like Head & Shoulders ads featuring Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Troy Polamalu during NFL season—or Wieden & Kennedy work on Old Spice,” notes AdAge. “Head & Shoulders Brand Manager Michael Sabbia, himself an Old Spice veteran, terms it 'Old Spice visiting Head & Shoulders.'"

Old Spice Newest Scent Wolfthorn is "Irresistible"

Old Spice debuts a manly mans new scent from the Wild Collection, with the "Irresistible" commercial debuting the Wolfthorn scent.

"This commercial portrays two misunderstood wolves. They are not trying to eat the beautiful European woman, but are simply whispering in her ear that they don’t know how to speak human language, but they really like her hairdo." And on Twitter, Old Spice describe the new ad like this: "In the grand scheme of things, this may be the most important commercial about a product inspired by a wolf ever made." Old Spice for whatever created this tribute video and song dedicated to the Hostess Twinkie, Ding Dongs and the rest of Hostess desserts, nice to see Mutombo taking a break from saving the world to make an appearance in the video.

The song from Old Spices game with Dikembe Mutombo's and the 4 1/2 Weeks to Save the World teaches that sometimes the saddest moments result in great artistic achievement, they said it not me.

Green Bay Packers' Greg Jennings is the new face of the Old Spice "Believe in your smellf" commercial campaign entitled "Film", Jennings plays frisbee with Rosco the dog on a movie a set and explains how to be the star of your own life.

The "official deodorant and body wash" of the NFL, Old Spice tapped Jennings (according to Old Spice North America brand manager Jason Partin in a press release) because he "embodies the true spirit of a champion, and this campaign is designed to reach NFL fans in need of a little extra confidence when tackling whatever life throws their way."

“Approaching life with a winning attitude has helped me achieve my goals and conquer any challenge that I've been faced with," says Jennings in the release. “I’ve always been a huge fan of Old Spice and jumped at the opportunity to work with them on this campaign.
