See what happens when Diet Pepsi lets Josh loose in a LA grocery store and a comedic episode of the mini "Check Out" ad/film.
Judging from the reactions of many of the shoppers it didn't seem they minded getting check out by Duhamel...I wish I knew the when and where.

The Pepsi Like Machine
31 May 2013
For over 50 years promo girls have been handing out samples at intersections, shopping malls and other high traffic areas, hoping consumers would buy their products. Time for a change, so Pepsi and TBWA Belgium teamed up and created The Like Machine: a vending machine that doesn't accept money, only Facebook likes.
The idea of connecting through the vending machine is simple. Just use your smartphone, go to likepepsi.com, connect with your Facebook account, like the Pepsi Facebook page and get a free Pepsi.
By using the smartphone location settings, Pepsi was sure only people near the vending machine got offered a sample. People without a smartphone could tap the 42” built-in touchscreen to log in on Facebook and get a free drink as well. Once the sample was given, a timer made sure everybody was logged out.
"That there are creative minds in Belgium is no secret. The Pepsi Like Machine is another good example of that," adds Jan Verlinden, Marketing Director of PepsiCo, BeLux. Now it is possible, with a Facebook like, in real time, to get a can of Pepsi. "It’s a new way of sampling which provides us with information, so we can immediately start communicating with our target audience."
Pepsi Belgium introduced the Like Machine at the Beyoncé concerts in Antwerp.

Pepsi NEXT Super Bowl Ad "Party"
29 Jan 2013
Pepsi Next creates an insane "Party" commercial to air during Super Bowl XLVII. In this ad, typical parents come home to find their house filled with foam and hundreds of people dancing. Their son Brandon quickly distracts his angry parents from the party with Pepsi Next. A guy duct taped to the ceiling? A unicorn DJ?? A jock pouring milk over his own head??? The real cola taste of Pepsi Next successfully overshadows the mayhem and destruction happening all over their property. You're a good kid, Brandon.

Pepsi Puts Beyoncé Face On A Can
10 Dec 2012
Get ready for whole lot of Beyonce during the 2013 Superbowl, Pepsi announced the Big Games half time performer will also be appearing on Pepsi cans and I'm assuming we wont be surprised to see here in one of Pepsi's Super Bowl ads this year. Read the full scoop at Brand Channel HERE.
The Fact Brief:
Pepsi is announcing a true creative and wide-ranging global collaboration with worldwide music icon, Beyoncé. Together they will collaborate in developing new content and innovative ways to engage fans, consumers and retailers to benefit both brands.
- Beyoncé is our partner and Brand Ambassador for Pepsi. Pepsi has had a relationship with Beyoncé for more than a decade – she first served as a Pepsi spokesperson in 2002.
- Since then, she has become a global pop culture phenomenon – arguably one of the biggest pop stars in the world - winning 16 GRAMMY® awards and selling more than 100 million albums worldwide.
- The multi-faceted collaboration with Beyoncé includes:
- Establishing the Creative Development Fund, a resource devoted to the co-creation of innovative and relevant consumer content.
- Collaboration on design – in addition to having her image on a can or bottle, she is working with us on the design of all materials related to the partnership.
- Beyoncé starring in a new “Live for Now” global TV commercial, currently planned for release in early 2013
- Beyoncé will be appearing in print and out of home advertisements for Pepsi. She will also be visible in-store and on-premise through materials such as shelf promotions, in-store displays and in-store advertising.
- The Beyoncé partnership is the lead example of how Pepsi is pioneering a new way for brands to engage with musical artists, moving from sponsor to partner. This creates a creative and commercial collaboration that serves both artist and brand.
- Beyond the partnership with Beyoncé, we are using our global scale and scope to create a platform to support multiple country-specific Pepsi musical artists.
- With our music program, we can excite our existing fans and attract new consumers to Pepsi, connecting their love of music with the refreshing experience of drinking Pepsi, driving sales of Pepsi globally.
- Our retail partners love music partnerships and are ready to embrace this relationship because Pepsi has a proven record of promotions that drive store traffic and sales.

The Coke vs Pepsi war may never end, but if Alvise Avati's spec ad for Coca-Cola is any indication of what might happen then Coke just won. This thrill ride of an ad has Coke laying a royal beating on Pepsi in a spot that could run with the best of any SuperBowl commercial. Not bad for a guy who claims he created it in his spare time with the help of some very talented friends. Check out his YouTube channel HERE.

It's a Pepsi Showdown, with a verbal spar between New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and One Direction. The superstars meet at a late night talk show green room that unfortunately has only one remaining can of Pepsi. A hilarious throw down of accolades ensues in the popularity contest over the coveted refreshment. The escalating standoff finally comes to a halt when 1D's Harry Styles offers Drew a place in the band in exchange for the Pepsi. How To Lose a $750,000 Coke Sponsorship
11 Jul 2012
Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, better known as the Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho, cost himself a Coke sponsorship worth $750,000 for drinking a can of Pepsi at a recent press conference.
Ronaldinho stunned Coke chiefs by turning up at a press conference and sipping nonchalantly from a can of Pepsi, their arch-rivals’ fizzy pop. Furious bosses at the Atlanta-based firm immediately demanded that the plug be pulled on his huge endorsement deal, according to a report in the ‘O Estado de Sao Paulo’ newspaper.

"The fact that the player has appeared with a can of Pepsi was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” Coca Cola marketing chief Marcelo Pontes told reporters. “The sponsorship had become embarrassing."This should get pretty entertaining over the next few days.
