See This Artist Draw The Taste Of Jura 39 ¾ 40-Year Old Whisky

26 Jul 2013

Premium distiller Jura is teasing fans of its whisky with a new campaign showing an artist’s impression of people tasting a thirty-nine-and-three-quarter-year old whisky, ahead of its launch next year.

James Kirkham, Holler founding partner, said: “Our Jura activity is going to have a focus on breaking convention and not resorted to tried and tested category norms. This is a great first example of instant, smart, socially inspired promotions which ignite passion and get people talking.”

A video of the event is below, and tweeters of a legal drinking age are in with a chance to win a vial of The 39 ¾ by retweeting it.

Creative agency Holler is behind the online and experiential campaign, called ‘Visual Taste of 39 ¾s’, which had its beginnings at the Jura Whisky Festival, where attendees were given an exclusive chance to taste the special tipple.

Artist Robbie’s Brown Shoes, of the Puck Collective, was on hand to capture the reactions of the tasters and his creations are now being shown on Jura’s Facebook page, as well as distributed via Twitter.

Ceres Beer - Italian #ivoteanyway Campaign

8 May 2013

Ceres is quite a strong beer and in Italy it is a brand for a young target audience. Politicians also aim for a young audience, but Italian youth consider them the most aged, corrupted and incapable in Europe.

The challenge: Prove that the young Italians, even if they love a strong beer, are more responsible than those who represent them.

The opportunity: Elections are getting close and everybody feels that the tables are going to turn. But an absurd bureaucratic obstacle stops thousands of Italians studying abroad from voting.

The goal: Ceres Beer will bring the students' problem to the attention of everyone.
The strategy: The young Italians abroad are the real heroes, and the will vote anyway.

Execution: We organize symbolic elections in major European cities.
Outcome: The cause of the students achieves unprecedented visibility across all media. Ceres gains invaluable awareness and becomes the most cited brand during the election weekend.

Results: Thousands of students from 26 European cities joined the initiative. The protest achieved unprecedented visibility on all the national media: TV, newspapers magazines, radios, social media, news website and blogs. The operation opened a debate all around the country. #ivoteanyway became a tweet trend with more than 10.000 tweets in 10 days.

For the brand: Brand search frequency on google: +470% in 10 days. Ceres was the most cited brand during the election week. People reached: 20 millions, one third of the italian population. Media investment: less than € 5,000.

Street Artist INSA Creates Outdoor Live Event for Ketel One Vodka

2 Apr 2013

Ketel One Vodka is launching a unique outdoor live event, by 180 Amsterdam, featuring the world’s only ‘GIF-iti’ artist as part of its international “Do One Thing Well” campaign.

Celebrated British street artist INSA, who creates art in public spaces that is brought to life online, is painting intricate murals in an event space in Amsterdam’s arts district, Roest.

INSA meticulously paints and repaints his images on a wall by hand and photographs each version. The images are then played in sequence online as an animated GIF, in a process he has dubbed “GIF-iti”.

When INSA’s Ketel One animated GIF-iti is complete, it will be projected on screen at a launch party in a bar at the event space on March 22nd. Then the animated work will then be seeded globally online, alongside a making-of film.

Ketel One chose INSA for the campaign because, it says, like the Diageo-owned vodka brand, INSA “has a bold vision and a history of not doing things by the book”.

Al Moseley, Executive Creative Director at 180 Amsterdam added: “INSA's work epitomizes the 'Do One Thing Well' philosophy. And this project is unique in pushing the boundaries between an event, outdoor and digital.”

To view the GIF-iti come alive digitally as an animated GIF, go to: https://www.themoderncraftproject.com/en-us/latest
Ketel One’s “Do One Thing Well” campaign, which first launched last year, celebrates the passion and skill required to achieve success.
The brand is committed to honouring modern craftsmen who bring traditional skills into the 21st century and push their work further.

A Wine Filled Fountain Pen by Casa Mariol - Now This Is Brilliant

6 Mar 2013

The Polish winery Casa Mariol found a void in the world of business agreements, they believed that such agreements needed more than just ink. What to do, well you fill pens with wine of course, and not just any wine, it was filled with their finest Cabernet Sauvignon and sent out to potential clients with a pre-order form that you could use the wine filled fountain pen to fill out.

The family owned winery wanted to promote their fine wine as a business gift and rather than send potential partners bottles of wine the pens were packaged and sent out. The idea is actually rather brilliant, Casa Mariol filled the pens with a special ink based wine that they believe has a special bonding agent that creates stronger business relationships and we couldn't agree more.

Isaiah Smallman, director at Fancy Rhino explains the idea for the commercials, "With these spots we wanted to capture both the history and the relevance of Chattanooga whiskey.
